We recommend starting with 1mm, 1.5mm or 2.5mm wire thickness.

Generally speaking, you should keep the wire on for around 2-3 months depending on the growth rate of your bonsai. Always keep an eye on the wired branches, particularly during the growing season, to ensure it isn’t digging into the bark.
